ATLAS 51972 N scale is NCE DCC/decoder equipped and has a dual flywheel equipped 5-pole skewed armature motor with a low friction mechanism. Its many features also include directional lighting, golden white LEDs, blackened metal wheels, painted safety rails, separate coupler cut lever, and factory installed AccuMate® magnetic knuckle couplers.
NCE decoder features include Silent Running™ motor drive, the ability to program both short and long addresses on main line in Ops mode, torque compensation for ultra-smooth low speed performance, programmable start, mid and maximum speed CVs that work in all speed modes, and four function outputs with lighting effects generators that allow you to select from 15 different lighting behaviors (ditch lights, Mars light, strobes, beacon, etc).
