Historical Information: 133 6-axle 3000 hp C630 diesel-electric locomotives were produced by ALCO between 1965 and 1968.
This Atlas N scale C630 Master Gold locomotive is LokSound equipped. The many features of the locomotive include directional lighting, painted safety rails, blackened metal wheels, factory-equipped with AccuMate® knuckle couplers, Scale Speed™ motor and golden-white LEDs.
LokSound features support all DCC-programming modes, and includes RailCom and RailComPlus, with 14, 28 or 128 speed steps and with 2-digit and 4-digit addressing. There is also flexible mapping of function keys F0 to F28 and a total of six DCC function outputs are available and can be function mapped (disable, brightness, light effects) individually. Also, all NMRA DCC standards and recommended practices are followed
Sound functionality includes over 20 sound effects (including engine start-up and shutdown, prime mover sounds through all eight notches, bell, air horn, air compressor, dynamic brakes and more), 16 user-selectable horns, 2 user-selectable bells, and 2 user-selectable synchronized brake squeals. Also featured are manual and automatic notching modes with the ability to change modes on the fly for true realism.
