Historical Information: S-2 (1000hp) diesel-electric locomotives were produced by Alco and MLW between August 1940 and June 1950.
This Atlas N Scale S-2 Master Line Silver locomotive is DCC-READY for easy DCC decoder installation. Its many features include fine scale handrails, separately-applied coupler cut levers, air hoses, piping, etc., directional LED lighting (includes cab rear headlight), die-cast hood & chassis for improved pulling performance, dual-flywheels for maximum performance at all speeds, and factory-equipped with AccuMate® knuckle couplers.
