Historical Information: 224 SD-24 2400 hp diesel locomotives were produced by EMD between 1958 and 1963. 179 of these were A units and 45 were B units.
This Atlas N Scale locomotive is DCC-READY for easy DCC decoder installation. The many features include a scale speed motor, directional lighting, golden-white LEDs, blackened metal wheels, separately applied roof detail, painted safety rails, and factory-installed AccuMate® knuckle couplers.
