Historical Information: C424 (four-axle 2400hp) diesel-electric locomotives were produced by ALCO between April 1963 and May 1967.
Atlas Silver HO scale C424 is decoder-ready with a NMRA 8-pin plug for DCC. Its many features include a five-pole skewed armature motor with dual flywheels for optimum performance at all speeds, and directional lighting with golden-white LEDs. Additional features include separately-applied wire grab irons, ladders, and drop steps, separately-applied marker lenses, 2 painted crew members, and factory-equipped AccuMate® knuckle.
