AOK 4059 was one of 536 4-axle 2250 hp “Dash 7” diesel locomotives built by GE over a period of 7 years starting in 1977. 411 were sold in the U.S. and 125 went to Mexico. Many are still in service.
ATLAS 8180 ho scale Master Series Gold is QSI Sound Decoder equipped. The engine comes with a five pole skewed armature motor with dual flywheels for optimum performance at all speeds. Its many features include directional lighting, see through step detail on the sill, etched metal radiator grilles, and painted crew members. It is also factory-equipped with AccuMate knuckle couplers and a coupler pocket designed to accept AccuMate Proto-couplers. Separately-applied scale detail parts include: windshield wipers, metal grab irons, coupler cut levers, multiple-unit hoses, snow plow, train line hoses, fine scale handrails, and more!
Road name specific details include pilots with and without anti-climber, cab headlights or low-nose headlights, cab with 4 or 2 side windows, bell mounted under the sill or on the long hood, and FB-2, AAR type B, or Blomberg truck side-frames.
