MILW 1683, built in August 1943, was one of 548 VO-1000 locomotives produced by Baldwin between 1939 and 1946. Mostly used as yard switchers, they were put into service by major railroads, short lines, the U.S. military and large industrial operations.
ATLAS 50040 N scale is DCC/decoder ready and has a slower speed motor for closer to scale speeds. Its many features include directional lighting, blackened metal wheels, step guards, and factory-equipped AccuMate® knuckle couplers.
