L&N 1306, built in August 1966, was one of 131 C420 (Century 420) four-axle 2000 hp road switcher diesel locomotives produced by ALCO between June 1963 and August 1978. Some are still in service.
ATLAS 10000543 museum-like quality HO scale Master Series Silver is DCC/decoder ready with a NMRA 8-pin plug. Its many features include a five-pole skewed armature motor with dual flywheels for optimum performance at all speeds, and directional lighting with golden-white LEDs. Additional features include metal grab irons, coupler cut levers, multiple-unit hoses, train line hoses, fine scale handrails, drop steps, cab sun shades, see through step detail on sill, etched metal radiator walkway, painted crew members, and a 2400 or 3100 gallon fuel tank as appropriate for this road name. Flat or “step” pilots are used where appropriate for road name, and a low nose headlight in low position is also used where appropriate for road name. AccuMate® knuckle couplers are standard and it also comes with a coupler pocket designed to accept AccuMate® Proto-couplers.
