SCL 615 was one of 360 SD-35 2500 hp 6-axle diesel locomotives and 35 steam generator-equipped SDP35 locomotives built by EMD over a period of 2 years starting in 1964. The SD-35 was in service through the 1980s and a few active units can still be found.
ATLAS 10000267 ho scale museum-like quality Master Series Silver is DCC/decoder ready and comes with a five-pole skewed armature motor with dual flywheels for optimum performance at all speeds. Its many features include directional lighting, golden-white LEDs, realistic die-cast under-frame, factory-equipped AccuMate® knuckle couplers, detailed cab interior with crew, marker lights with separate lenses, scale fans and grille detail, separately-installed scale windshield wipers, metal grab irons and fine scale handrails, and a snowplow (included but not installed). Also included as per the prototype is a flat dust bin or raised dust bin.
